Woman on a Mission

I had the amazing opportunity to work with my friend Whitney on March 8th, which, just so happened to be International Woman’s day. Whitney was asked to host a Make and Take at the beautiful West Elm Portland. As one of the most knowledgeable people I know, especially when it comes to Essential Oils, I of course said ‘YES” when she asked me to take pictures of her event. She spoke on and educated on the use and benefits of Essential Oils.  Guests were able to take home a few goodies to try and fall in love with.

Nervous at first, I haven’t photographed anything for a while, I left feeling empowered. Not just because of what day it was, but because Whitney and Jessica (the GM of West Elm Portland) are so charismatic, so personable, so great at what they do.

I left feeling like Yes, I CAN do this, I CAN make this work. If I put my mind to it, I can grow with photography and educate people on the power of essential oils/ a more naturopathic lifestyle. I CAN write again.

This feeling is what I want all the time. What I too, want to be able to give to other women who are feeling scared, or incapable or that it won’t be easy.

No, this isn’t going to be easy. I’m going to lose sleep. I’m going to risk so very much by putting myself out there.

But, what if it’s worth it? If I don’t try, I’ll never know, and neither will you.
